Came to Seongsu dong for brunch and decided to settle in this cafe, 할아버지공장.

Actually, I wanted to come here for coffee and have my meal at another place but it was a Sunday.

Everywhere was so fully packed with long queues, not to mention those popular restaurants/eateries.

Decided to sit here.

Finally, I can eat ^^

The cafe (marked by the Blue marker) is about 7 mins walk from Seongsu Station, exit 3.

26 Mar 2022 - Supper with vegan mandu & honey makgeolli

I love 막걸리 Makgeolli ^^ 

By the way, this place that sells makgeolli is a restaurant selling fried food with makgeolli. 

Decided to clear this vegan mandu which was already in the freezer so that I can buy more bibigo mandu from Emart lol

And I bought honey makgeolli.

Nice ~~

I think that was toufu inside.

Not bad but I think will taste better if I pan fried them.

I was too lazy to do the wash up, so I simply microwave them. 

26 Mar 2022 - Checking out Emart Yeoksam

Checking out the Emart branch at Yeoksam.

These onions look so deliciously to me!

So curious about the taste of these green tomatoes but I did not buy.

I often made my own 들기름간장비빔국수 Perilla oil with soy sauce buckwheat noodle during covid, so I am curious with this.

Ohhhh this one has vinegar, soy sauce and sesame oil.

The one above does not have vinegar and soy sauce, and it used perilla oil.

Tempted but so many snacks I wanted to buy!!

Told myself not to eat too much crackers this trip cos it will be heaty unless I drink lots lots of water.

I do not want to develop a sore throat since sore throat, cough are sensitive symptoms during this period >_<

Perilla leaves mandu!!!!

I love perilla leaves and I love mandu!!!!

I did not notice this flavor in Emart Sinchon.

Vegan mandu.

I dun like mala but always curious with this mala sauce by my idol cos he used it a lot on his TV programs.

Wooooo the packaging here are much more fancy than in SG.

26 Mar 2022 - Lunch at a neighborhood eatery

This eatery sells very nice 순대국밥 and it is about 5mins walk from where I was staying ^^

Already looking good!

I miss this so much!

And it tasted really good.

If you come across this place selling fried donuts, do try it!

I saw they have quite a few branches in Seoul.

When 숀 tells me the donuts here are good, I was well...ok....cos donuts are fattening food.

But after trying it, I finally understand why the Korean variety shows, show Koreans enjoying their fried donuts. 

Sinfully delicious!

Coffee & tea break at Starbucks after lunch.

숀 always bring a tumbler with him, which I think I should too. 

I want to practise the habit of bringing my own tumbler for cafes even in SG(though I hardly go cafes in SG).

25 Mar 2022 - BBQ-ing at Hongdae

From Mangwon, we proceed to Hongdae for shopping.

Myeongdong is dead but not Hongdae.

There was no empty tables at all....

Due to covid, I became quite scared to see many people even in SG.

All ready to bibim it!!!

I miss this so much!!

To be honest, I hardly eat out in SG.

Whenever my friends ask me for recommendations where to eat Korean food in SG, I had no idea!

Hahahahahaa...

Cos this was super yummy!!!

25 Mar 2022 - EERT cafe in Mangwon dong

I wanted to bring my friends to a tea house in Mangwon dong but unfortunately, the tea house needs advance reservation.

So I brought them to this nearby cafe instead cos this place is quite popular on Korean SNS.

We were attended by two not bad looking dudes at the counter.

One of them was very helpful and nice.

The other one had a service attitude and we felt he is not suitable to be working here.

Really really nice!

Maybe except for this cos this tasted like the usual fruit cake we had in SG lol

Eert has a few outlets.

I will check out another outlet in my next trip back home ^^

About 10mins walk from Mangwon Station, exit 2.
