17 Nov 2016 - Trip to 아산 외암민속마을 Oeam Folk Village

This is the entrance of Oeam Folk Village.  I got on a taxi from Ginkgo Avenue 은행나무 at 1.10pm to come here. Starting fare was 2800 won. Reached here at 1.26pm and the taxi fare was 10000 won.  I requested the ticket operator to help me call a taxi for my return trip cos it was very hard to get a taxi even when I walked out to the main road to flag for one. 

My entrance fees was 2000 won.

Eh....I decided to come here after I saw some pictures of this bridge hahahhahhaha 

First time to come across one that is within reach lol

School excursions

I took less than 2 hours to explore the place.
Nothing much to see.
I think all the folk villages are about the same lol 

The taxi ride from the folk village to Onyangoncheon station took about 10mins.
The taxi fare was about 8000 won.

I reached Onyangoncheon station at around 3.15pm. My train ticket shows that the Mugunghwa train from Asan station will depart at 3.59pm. I took the Mugunghwa train from Seoul station to Asan and took the subway from Asan to Onyangoncheon station when I come here.  So I thought I should do the same by taking the subway back to Asan station in order to take the Mugunghwa train to Yongsan station. There was a staff in uniform standing near the escalator to the platform.  I showed her my ticket and she told me I was in the correct direction to the platform back to Yongsan station. 

The screen also show that this was the platform for train to Yongsan station.  Actually, I was confused becos even though I was supposed to take train from Asan station to Yongsan station, I had a feeling that I need not change to another train when I reach Asan station.  Time passed by.  I got a bit worried as I waited cos there was no train at all.

At last, a train arrived at 3.50pm!! When I got on the train, I looked for my seat according to my ticket. To my surprise, there was somebody sitting at my designated seat. Oh dear, should I approach the person?? I do not want to stand all the way to Yongsan station when I have already paid for the ticket! Suddenly, I remembered that I got on the train at Onyangoncheon Station and not Asan station. True enough, the person sitting on my seat got off the train at Asan station. I decided that I should be on the right train to Yongsan station and did not get off the train. It was 4pm when the train reached Asan station.  It was definitely an experience although I am still not sure why I can take the Mugunghwa train from Onyang Oncheon Station lol

17 Nov 2016 - Ginkgo Avenue 은행나무길

I took the Nuriro train from Seoul station to Asan station. Thereafter, I changed to the subway to Onyang Oncheon Station 온양온천역. From Onyang Oncheon Station, I took a taxi to the Ginkgo Avenue 은행나무. I got on the taxi at 11.27am. The starting fare was 2800 won. Reached the Ginkgo Avenue at 11.35am and the taxi fare was 4200 won.

It was exactly what I saw from the pictures ^^

I was glad that I brought forward this trip which was supposed to be a few days later. The Ginkgo Avenue was quite a long stretch but majority of the trees were bare by the time I reached. Well at least, I still managed to catch a bit of the yellow leaves. One should come at least 1-2 weeks earlier to catch the yellow leaves!

What was left.
I think I was still lucky though.

The weather was good.
Cold yet,bright and sunny.
It was the warmest day during my entire trip.

Time to proceed to the next destination, 아산 외암민속마을 Oeam Folk Village.
My initial plan was to Hyeonchungsa Shrine 현충사 from here but I decided to go to the folk village instead.
Although majority of the trees were bare, I was still very happy to be here.
A very nice place ^^
I will come here again if I have the chance.
At least 1-2 weeks earlier lol

17 Nov 2016 - Off to Asan!

Decided to bring forward my day trip to Asan.

Always looking forward to the train dosirak at Seoul station ^^

First time, I came across a train that arrived much earlier than the designated time.
I got on the train at around 9.10am and there were not many people.
It left the station at 9.25am sharp.

Time to enjoy my simple yummy dosirak ^^

16 Nov 2016 - What an exciting nite!

Yes!! Yes!!! 
미스터쇼!  Mr Show!!!
This was the performance I talked about!
Have been so excited the whole day becos of this performance ^^

The MC was very good and a cutie too hahaha

I bought the 1st row ticket but I think 2nd row middle seats would be better.
Middle seats in 3rd row should be good too.

No words can described my excitement!!
You won't believe if I tell you I am not into 6 pack abs.
So why am I here???
Curiosity!!

He caught my attention few mins after he appeared.
Omgg he was just so manly when he performed in the sword dance.
I never like guys with long hair but he was an exception lol

My SG friends said I "Ham Sab" aka lustful.
Seriously, I think people who said this are kinda shallow.
It is not just about 6 pack abs and topless guys. I won't say the guys are good looking but they were very professional in their performance.
"Mr Show" is very entertaining and an eye opener for me.
I was left jaw dropping when they stripped and showed their butts.
Yup naked butt but NOTHING more!
Stop your imagination immediately Hahahahaa
OMGGGG seriously that really stunned me.  Hahahahah
I think they showed their butts twice and I was stunned twice!  Hahahahahaa
I love the segment where they select a few audiences on stage to perform together with them.
A lucky Taiwnese lady was selected and the guy carried her.
Ehhh.....I would faint if I was the one selected and being swept off my feet!
Cos I would be very conscious about my weight and worried about crushing the guy flat hahahaa
"Mr Show" can set your heart thumping fast, stirring up your wildest imagination BUT at the same time, it brings out the manliness and sexiness in a guy. 
The last segment where they wore something like the army uniform and they performed with the help of water.
Arghhh ...so damn sexy and manly!!!
I will catch this performance again if I have the chance!!BTW, only ladies above 19 years old are allowed.

At the end of the performance, two of them came out to take pictures with the audience.
I didn't request to take pictures with them cos my favourite guy was not there lol 

16 Nov 2016 - Disappointed

Wondering around the place as I waited for my dinner place to open. 

Yup Dinner at Lobster Shack.
Finally, I came.
Quick quick open although I am not hungry at all lol
Cos I need to rush off to watch a performance right after dinner.
Omgggg I couldn't contain my excitement towards the performance!!!

Overheard the familiar Singlish from the table beside me lol

They got a choice of either warm or cold lobster roll.
I chose warm lobster meat tossed in melted butter.....Woooo.............Yummmssss 

This grapefruit beer tasted really good!

So looking forward to this! 

₩23,000.
I think its a bit expensive.

However when I compared to the one I had in London Lobster and Burger, this was cheap.  I can't remember how much I paid at Lobster & Burger. Was it £20?  Seriously, I would rather pay £20 than to pay ₩20000 cos the lobster roll at Lobster & Burger was really packed with solid lobster meat. Whereas for this, it looks fully packed but not really. The bottom was lined with a few cherry tomatoes...Not shiok at all hahahahaha

I also prefer the bread at Lobster & Burger.  It was more crispy and buttery.

Lobster Shack is less than 10 mins walk from Sinsa Station, exit 8.

16 Nov 2016 - Back for my favourite cake ^^

So happy to be back for my favourite cake on earth! 

I reached here around 3.30pm and they have more varieties to offer this time lol
The first time I came here : Etalp, only 4 types of cakes were ready.
It was about 2pm back then. 

I was not hungry at all but I wanted to try another cake as well.

Decided to go for the other popular item, strawberry cheese cake.

It was good!!
Light and yummy but I felt sooo sinful...

Still my no.1 favourite cake on earth!!
Highly recommend this lavender cake to all ^^

My Kimchi, Perilla leaves, spam and roasted roasted laver fried rice ^^
Always look forward to cook and eat this whenever I go back Korea.
It never tasted the same when I cooked this in Sg.
This dish needs no condiment and its so simple and flavourful.

15 Nov 2016 - Nice catch up with 카나에씨

Meet up with my friend, 카나에씨 for dinner at 새마을식당
We met 2 years ago during my 3 weeks class at Yonsei KLI.
So very much envy her that she can continue her studies in Korean language.
Very happy to see her again ^^
Wishing her all the very best always!
카나에씨 화이팅!!

I have not come here for a long time but food tasted as good.
Side dishes of kimchi and salads are self service now.

Saw this at Homeplus.
BTW, this is a paper detergent for washing clothes.
I used to buy another brand but Jae hee told me she preferred this cos its "stronger".
I bought this for mum but she has not tried it though.

I never tried the real Bake cheese tarts before so I am not sure what's the diff.
Well, this was ok.
Off to Myeongdong for some shopping!
