My first proper dinner with 재 today. We had dinner at Blk 85 Bedok North. Our dinner includes 6 local varieties (Fried carrot cake, Rojak, Hokkien Mee, Satay, Otah, Minced pork soup noodles and sugarcane drink). Hmmm...our sambal chillies was not spicy enough for him! Hahahahaaa
Hope he enjoyed the dinner. After dinner, I showed him what is called Singapore HDB flats!
Hi, 윤
ReplyDeleteI have been referring to your blog extensively for my recent travel to S.Korea. Very nicely done & informative, I must say. :) Not sure why but it seems your older posts seems to 'disappear'.
Regards,
Kevin
Hi Kevin. Thanks for dropping by. Actually, I wanted to tidy up my blog a bit especially the earlier posts but no time to do so. Not sure which posts you are referring to though.
DeleteHi, 윤
DeleteI happened to read one of your posts on onggi the other day but I could not find it yesterday. I only managed to find this pagel: http://happydalki.blogspot.sg/2013/12/14-oct-2013-getting-to-seongmo-island.html. Hope I did not remember wrongly. :)
Regards,
Kevin
Hmmm..I think I have not been to places that specialised in onggi yet. I would love to but have yet to do so. I checked through my blog. Dun think I have deleted any post on that. The posts that I have deleted were mainly on Korean food in SG, nothing deleted for my trips to Korea for now.
DeleteA place came to my mind. Could it be this http://happydalki.blogspot.sg/2013/11/6-oct-2013-exploring-andong-hahoe.html ? Its at Andong. Its just one picture on onggi where I happened to pass by and saw those containers...
Hi, 윤
DeleteThank you for your help. It is not that but I have found it: http://happydalki.blogspot.sg/2012/01/blog-post_10.html. I recognised the post via the pix that you have posted. They are called 장독대 [jang dok dae]. Now, I am confused, they looked the same as onggi . Lolx.
Thanks,
Kevin
Lol. Glad u found it. Sorry I did not help much. I think u did me a big favour by asking this question. It was my mistake in that post u found. It shd be onggi for the big jars. Check out this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jangdokdae. Hope it clarifies your doubt. Thanks!
