I really wanted to check out 수원 화성 Hwaseong Fortress, the wall surrounding the centre of Suwon, so I got very excited whenever our tour bus passed by the wall.
|
An archery range. Oh, I can see the fortress from here. |
Jihye asked if we wanted to give it a shot. Ermm...No...thanks. It looked like a lot of strength is required. |
Its drizzling but that didn't stopped us from enjoying the scenery ^^ The only regret was not being able to take the Hwaseong Trolley becos it has to stop operation until the rain stopped. |
Its really a nice place ^^ |
Oh yes, I saw this in one of the Korean drama! |
Let's go in to check it out ^^ |
Excited and curious ^^ |
Up we go! |
Up and out we go ^^ |
A view from the tower |
Be careful with your head |
Out from the watchtower and we continued with our hiking trail. It was not tiring to walk at all. In fact, we enjoyed the walk becos of the fresh air and cooling weather ^^ |
Jihye said it was believed that if one saw this bird early morning outside the house, it means good luck.
|
We started from the opposite side! |
Admiring the surroundings. |
The grand looking church caught my attention. |
Since we couldn't take the Hwaseong Trolley, I told Jihye that I wanted to check out the nearby market. At the end of this road was a flight of steps that led us to the main road where the market could be seen. |
