25 Aug 2014 - Simple, healthy and delicious meal ^^

I went back to Hongdae for dinner at 재벌.
It is a small eatery but I like it here.  

There are so many varieties for one person meal ^^  I ordered 생선백반 (6000 won). Till now, I am still curious about 콩나물 죽 (Bean Sprouts Porridge) as marked by the blue arrow and 계란 죽 (Egg Porridge) as marked by the green arrow.  I have never heard of bean sprouts porridge or egg porridge.  I wonder how does it look and taste like.  Will it be a bowl of porridge full of sprouts or eggs?

Simple yet healthy and delicious!
I will be back to try other dishes ^^

Passed by this place on my way to Haneul Park.
Back at Haneul Park once again for a reason but I was not sure if I can get to see it. .
*Pray hard

Gloomy sky today.  I hope it will not rain.

OH DEAR....

They were the reason why I came here ㅠㅠ
I saw someone posted on FB about the sunflowers here just a week before my trip.
So I thought I will just try my luck.
Oh!!  잠깐만요!  I saw a ray of hope!

I was so thankful to the sky for holding back the rain!!

So happy to see these bright and cheerful looking flowers ^^

So sad to see the flowers withering ㅠㅠ
 I think almost 60% of the sunflowers had withered.
Really thankful that I could still see the rest of it..

25 Aug 2014 - Delicious lunch at 마시찜

Another carefree day ㅋㅋㅋ 

I really enjoy this trip because I don't feel like I am a tourist at all ㅎㅎㅎ No stress. No worries. Hey, being a tourist can be stressful too, you know. Stress to find a location. Stress of being unable to finish visiting all the desired places in time. Stress of keeping up with the tour group etc. You know what I mean ㅎㅎㅎ 

I heard that there is some construction work going on at Yonsei University. Therefore, I decided to check out the place just in case I have difficulties locating KLI tomorrow. This was what I saw from the main gate.

Finally, I reached here after much ups and down the slopes and steps...

보고싶어...

I miss the class...I miss my teacher and classmates...I miss walking to this building everyday ㅠㅠ  Yeah. I walked from my apartment to the school every morning. It was a good opportunity to exercise ㅋㅋㅋ Took me about 25 mins. It was quite cooling in the morning and it made walking such a pleasure ^^

I went to 마시찜 Masizzim at Garosu-gil for lunch after checking out the KLI. Heard this is a popular restaurant. I saw an outlet in Sangsu and probably one in Myeongdong. I have always wanted to try 돼지갈비찜 Dwaeji Galbi Jjim(Pork ribs stew) but hardly come across it. Most of the time is 갈비찜 Galbijjim, which I can't take. So glad when I get to know about this place and it serves single portion!  Yeah!!!

The red dotted line was the route I took from Sinsa station, exit 8.

It was easy to locate 마시찜 Masizzim ^^

Less than 5 mins walk from exit 8.

The steam egg tasted average but I like steam egg ㅋㅋㅋ

There were tteok and mushrooms as well ^^
Somehow, it reminds me of a dish that I always ask mum to cook.
The taste is almost similar!

Looking at this picture makes me hungry...

There were 4 small pieces of pork ribs.  Yes. I counted the number of pork ribs in this little hot pot for the benefit of writing my blog ㅎㅎㅎ  This serving was just nice for me ^^ The meat was so tender and tasty! Please try it out if you come across this restaurant. 

24 Aug 2014 - Mangwon market at 7pm

After dinner, I walked over to Mangwon market.

This is the eatery where I wanted to visit previously.
Just a few steps from the entrance of the market.
This is the place that sells cheap noodle!!
잔치국수 Janchi Guksu at only 1500won!!
So cheap but I could not eat anymore!I will be back!!

I can eat no more....

My intention to check out this market is also to buy some food to cook ㅋㅋㅋ
삼겹살을사고싶어요 ^^

Beside some condiments and other ingredients, I also bought some 삼겹살. The stall lady was very nice and friendly. Can't remember how many grams for this amount but it cost me 5000won, which allows me to cook for three meals ^^ I think I like Mangwon market a lot hahahaa cos it feels very local and non touristy.
