23rd April 2013 - Supermarket, my all time favourite hang out.

If i did not remember wrongly, it was exit 7 of Euljiro 1-ga Station for Lotte Department Store.

 I went to the food section. 

It seemed like there was some kind of seafood or rather raw abalone fair going on.

Hmm...재 was just telling me about abalone yesterday.

 Is there a season for abalone?

Waaaa....
There was a very long queue for this!
Was it really a good deal?  I forgot to check out the price -_-

So many side dishes made me excited but I will end up buying the basic onesㅎㅎ

  

Strangely, I am not  crazy over kimchi but my sister and sister in law will love this place.

They look so pretty and I am always tempted to buy it.
Not sure about the taste.
One day, I will buy a box back.

Tempted...

These are 떡, right?

I bought this to try.
Errhh...I don't like it cos it contains too many ingredients....미안...

야...!!!
 I am more interested in this 치즈 케이 and 크고구마 케이 ㄱㄱㄱ
But I can eat no more...

23rd April 2013 - 저는 고구마 라떼를 아주 좋아 ^^

Since it was raining, I went shopping in Myeongdong. 

 I conclude that I should never go shopping on a rainy day cos it was a disaster to my pocket!

Saw this when I took the underground pass to get to Lotte Deparment store.
야! I finally saw what I wanted ^^
This cafe Guma Guma was located near exit 5 of Euljiro 1-ga Station 을지로입구역.
Sure hope it will be there when I go home this Autumn!!

Please try고구마라떼 Sweet Potato Latte if are in Korea ^^
I know many of you have tried before but if you have not, please do!
Oppss...this reminds me that I have not try making my 고구마라떼 ...

Tempted but I was too full to eat anymore...

23rd April 2013 - No mood to do anything

It was a Tuesday, my second last day in Seoul. 

No mood to do anything.  

It was drizzling and that contributed to my Tuesday blues. 
I went to the Central Post Office to check on my postage status becos something went wrong somewhere.

Locate the correct counter.

Press for a queue number.
"우편접수" By Mail

"상자구입" Box Purchase
"누름" Press 

The counter services are located at the basement. They referred me to the first level. The staff here were unable to speak simple English but they called up one of their fellow colleague to come and assist me ^^  Do I still trust Korea Post???  확실히!

After I settled things at the post office, I went to Dunkin' Donuts which is located within the building to have my breakfast. Told you Dunkin' Donuts is one of my favourite place for breakfast in Korea ㄱㄱㄱ It was already 10.30am and I was so hungry by then. The yogurt looks good. I wondered whether they will heat up the hash brown..

I ordered 트리플치즈치아바타 Ciabatta (Triple Cheese) .
Triple cheese sounds GOODDDDDDDDDD *Wink

So they do heat up the hash brown.  Great ^^

Somehow they look like colourful 고구마 to me ㄱㄱㄱ

Churros!! Should I? Should I?? Should I???
I have already ordered my breakfast set ㅠㅠ

The reason why I don't think I could have my Churros ㅠㅠ
BTW, the yogurt was nice ^^
Hash brown was not crispy but good enough for me ^^

Waa..This is very environmental friendly.
There is also English instructions to guide foreigners ^^
真希望我们新加坡人也能有同样的环保意识..
I think we failed in promulgating eco-friendly practices.
Including myself, we took things for granted.
We took our electricity and water for granted.
Shouldn't we start from our daily lives?  Every little action counts.

22nd April 2013 - Wish the day will never end...

We took the subway to 사당역 Sadang Station. Can't remember which exit.
It was my first time to visit this place. Thanks for bringing me here 재 ^^
There were many eateries and I couldn't decide what to eat ㄱㄱㄱ
Its the companion that matters more than the food!

Seldom see Korean eating mutton but they do.

After walking around, we settled on this restaurant. Initially, I thought of having 추어탕 Loach soup since I have not tried it before. It turned out that they serve 추어탕 only for lunch. 괜찮아요. Its the companion that matter most ^^ 

Its all healthy food!

We ordered 두부전골 Dubu jeongol ^^ 

I love hot soup with rice ^^

Thank you so much for the nice dinner and tea. Thank you so so much for making time to meet up with me. I feel bad to take up your personal time and time to rest, but a selfish part of me had secretly wished that time will stop, so that I don't have to say bye bye to you. You may not feel the same but I cherish every single moment with you. Please take good care of yourself. Be safe and be happy always. 내가 당신에게 그립다 말할때엔, 정말그리워서에요. 왜냐면 전 그 말을 오직당신에게만했거든요.

22nd April 2013 - Wish time could come to a standstill...

I met up with 재 at Dongjak Station. exit 1 for 노을카페 Noeul cafe. 잠깐만. Was it exit 1 or 2 for the cafe?  I thought it was exit 1 for 구름카페 Gureum cafe and exit 2 for 노을카페 Noeul cafe. Whatever it is, I was very happy to see 재 again and almost forgotten to take pictures for the directions. Its been 6 months since we met up but it felt like 600 years to me ㅎㅎ Saw the signage at the bottom of the stairs?  That's the signage to Noeul cafe.

Walk straight. The cafe is just ahead.
구름카페 Gureum cafe is across the the road.

Suddenly, I remembered my fear of height..

We took the elevator up.

I think there are 5 storeys.
The 5th storey is an outdoor terrace where you can enjoy a very good view of the surroundings.

It was super windy up here!! 

My fear of height crept up into me once again but I was too happy to think about it ㅎㅎㅎ

녹차 라떼와 홍차 라떼.
I wish time could come to a standstill.

I wish the night would never end...
재 was very kind to suggest having dinner at another place.
Don't get me wrong. There is absolutely wrong with the food here.
I think 재 wanted to show me more of Seoul.
Really appreciate his kind thoughts and taking precious time to meet me.
정말 고마워요 ^^

22nd April 2013 - Hanging out at Hongdae

My friends from SG asked if I wanted to join them at Trick Eye Museum.
Why not since I have not been there.

Dalki and Subak ^^

Trick Eye Museum is worth checking out if you are not travelling alone.
Use your imaginations and just have fun!
Of course, I am not going to upload my pictures here ㅎㅎㅎ

Bought the cinnamon flavour and it tasted meh....
Yeap. They crushed up the ball so that you can eat it easily.
Its time to meet 재!!  

22nd April 2103 - Breakfast at Butterfinger

Two more days before flying back. It is always so depressing at the thought of leaving Korea but I am very happy and excited today. 무엇이 나를 이렇게 행복하게? 나는 재 오늘 오후에 만나고 있기 때문에 ^^ Yay! Sometimes, I feel that my so called "frequent trips" back home has become a burden to 재 becos I am taking away his rest time to meet me. As much as I feel bad about it, deep inside I'm jumping with joy whenever I get to see 재 ^^ 너무 그리워. Of course, coming back to my second home twice a year is definitely not frequent to me at all. I wish I can stay here forever!  Let me forget what's going to happen two days later.  I just wanna think of today!  

I took the subway to Gangnam station, exit 10 for breakfast at Butterfinger. I am back becos I miss their pancakes! Some changes when I came out from exit 10 but the direction is still the same as shown in this link: Getting to Butterfinger at Gangnam.

Walk straight after you turn to your left at THE BODYSHOP.

This waitress is very very cute ^^

I ordered the BlueBerry Pancake (KRW7200).
Hmm...I love blueberry but this is not nice.
I prefer the plain pancakes ㅠㅠ
