17 April 2012 - Herb Bibimbap for lunch

I completed touring around the place at about 1pm and decided to have a quick lunch at this herb restaurant ^^

The menu looks good ^^

Order your food here and make your payment at the same time.  This guy can speak some English.

This would be a perfect place to have afternoon tea.

Therapeutic for the appetite, heart and eyes ^^

Ahh!!  What a rosy ceiling ^^

Rosy ambience

Waiting for my number to be called.

귀엽다 ^^

Ermm...he was distracted by me cos I made funny faces at him!

I have my mind set on Herb Bibimbap since the day I included Herb Island as part of my itinerary ^^

Including the calorie counts is very useful for those on diet ^^

No. 26!  That's my number ^^
There were many people eating here!  I was so surprised to see the people becos so far I have yet to see more than 10 people. The waiting time was not long, I waited for about 10 mins before my number was called.

Heheeee... 먹고 ^^

My pretty meal  ㅋㅋㅋ

Its so delicious!

Its almost 1.30pm. The bus to my knowledge at that point of time will be arriving at 1.50pm...Okay, time to say bye bye to Herb Island.

In my personal opinion, it is not worth to travel all the way from Seoul to visit Herb Island. Herb Island is not an Island but that was not the reason why I felt it is not really worth visiting. I knew it was not an island when I was doing my research.  There was nothing much to see and the place needed some touch up badly. Nevertheless, I liked the Greenhouse and the Herb Restaurant, and really appreciate the travelling experience from Seoul to Pocheon. Well, that's not the end of my day trip to Herb Island.  Something unforgettable happened. I will explain in my next post.

17 April 2012 - Touring around 허브 아일랜드 Herb Island

I walked around the place and saw Santa.  *Blur
It was April, Dec 2012 is still more than 6 months away and Dec 2011 was 4 months ago!!

Trying to adjust my mindset.

Felt as though I was part of some fairy tales.

Those colourful houses looked so cute!

Although the place appeared deserted and outdated, but I could imagine the nice ambience during winter. Hmm...It would be a great place to spend a lovely white Christmas. I don't really celebrate Christmas but I like the spirit of giving and sharing during this festive season.

I love the blue sky and clouds above.

Gosh...Santa had been hanging there since last Christmas!

I walked out the place and left Santa behind.
Where should I go from here?

Looking down to decide where should I go...

So many cars but I can hardly see anybody...Where did everyone go???

我喜欢蓝天白云....

I walked around the place and keeping a look out for some herb restaurants. Time check was about 12.45pm. Online information stated there would be a bus departing from Herb Island for Pocheon at 1.50pm.  Hence, I constantly reminded myself to give ample time to find the bus stop becos the time interval for bus no.57 was an hour.  It was only now at this very moment when I was typing this post, I realised I made a mistake. The online information was outdated and I didn't bother to go through the brochure until now  -__-
Lesson learnt.

17 April 2012 - Touring around 허브 아일랜드 Herb Island

So what's next after the Greenhouse?

Decided to check out the bakery ^^

Looks good  ^^

So cute   ㅋㅋㅋ

Herb Cafe!

I went in to check out this shop.

Cookies???

I was very curious about it and bought one to try. Oh! To my surprise, they were candies, not cookies. Seon Young said this is considered low quality food.

This place reminds me of childhood.

Paper dolls!  That's one of my favourite when I was young.

Saw a shop selling products made of herbs.

I was treated with a cup of hot Ricola when I entered the shop. One of the shop assistant asked if he can apply some Peppermint oil on my wrist. One of my all time favourite aroma recipe is a combination of Peppermint oil, Marjoram oil and Ginger oil  in warm water to do footbath. It really helps to relieve tired legs.
By the way, the shop assistant who applied the oil on my wrist can speak fluent English.  He was the only one who could speak English in the shop. Thank god. I quickly grab the opportunity to ask him for directions to the bus stop for my return trip to Pocheon.  According to him, it would be a 5mins walk from the entrance to the bus stop. Ermm...when Koreans said its 5 mins, I will give myself another 5 mins becos Koreans walked a lot and they walked much faster than me!

I bought the Ricola ^^ The drink tasted exactly like the candies.
Strange..Ricola does not originate from Korea and why was it doing in Herb Island Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do ??

Herb coffee.

It was April when I visited Herb Island. Santa had been sitting here since last Christmas...

They were so so cuteeeee!!!  Their parents were crowding around them making all sorts of funny faces and gestures just to get their cuties to smile for a nice picture. No matter how hard they tried, it was difficult to get all the boys to smile at the same time!

Pororo 뽀롱뽀롱 뽀로로!!
