I saw a few times from the Korean TV programs introducing Gwangju Duck Soup 광주오리탕 and this time, from Delicious Rendezvous (2020).
Oh yes, by now, Baek Jong-won 백종원 has become my idol! Watch Delicious Rendezvous 맛남의 광장 & Alley Restaurant 골목식당 and you will know why he is so respected by many.
Decided to try out this soup at home but using chicken cos I do not like duck. I will try 오리탕 in Korea but for now, I used chicken. This soup is super easy. The perilla seeds powder 들깨가루 makes a big difference in the soup. Without it, the soup will still taste nice but it will be a normal chicken soup. The same goes for Gamjatang. So now, I am super loving this ingredient called, perilla seeds powder ㄱㄱㄱㄱㄱ
You may find this veggie (Minari 미나리 Water dropwort) a lot but nope.
Personally, I dun have special liking for Minari 미나리 but some people dun like it.
When I dipped it in 초장 Chojang, I could really eat a lot of it.

Quite pleased with my chicken soup but it should taste different from duck I think.
